Sorry everyone..............I activated the timer by mistake when trying to add another couple of minutes to the cooking time. There is a timer that sets the cooker to come on whilst you are out. And i'd activated this somehow !! Shan't say what the mrs called me !! :oops:

Just used electric cooker to cook a pizza and the cooker just lost all power. The lcd display works on the front but there is no power to the cooker element or the grill element. The fuse hasn't tripped in the fuse box. Any ideas ? Do you think I need to look for a new cooker. It is now 10...

Have performed system test on final exit, all pir's and the external box. External box supposed to sound and flash for 15 secs to show it's working but it doesn't. The panel beeps and flashes to show final exit and pir's are working ok though. Alarm is now 12 years old. Never been a minutes...

Hi, I have a Menvier TS400 alarm system fitted. It's now 11 years old. Everything on the system works except the external bell/strobe. Any ideas what the problem could be ??

Hoptpoint washing machine has just started to make a knocking noise when it spins on high speed setting. Splinters of plastic found in the drum also. What could the problem be ??

Have a Creda gas hob and the ignition doesn't work when the button is pressed. There is no 'clicking' at all or spark. Just changed the ignition unit but no luck. Any ideas what it could be? Model No. is 42347.

I need to replace the ribbon cable on the Acer 3020 touchpad. It seems obvious where one end goes (the motherboard) but how is the cable connected to the touchpad end. The underside of the touchpad has like plastic layers on it to cover the underside. Anyone ever replaced such a cable ?

None of the equipment belongs to Sky. the normal Sky box is the one they give you free. the Sky+ box has to be bought by the customer so it also belongs to you.

Have solved the problem. Uninstalled the Secondary IDE Channel from the IDE/ATA ATAPI Controllers in the Device Manager. Then re-booted. Windows re-installed the necessary drivers and voila. The driver advanced setting was set to 'PIO Only' instead of 'DMA if available'.
