out of interest would a ST monsoon 3bar be much noisier than a 2bar?

because of flat design am going to have to locate it under the bath - was going to place on rubber mat / paving slab combo - is it going to sound like an aircraft taking off?

as subject says... more specifically, is the 3.0 bar universal single a lot louder than the 2.0 bar universal single? can't find any specific volume data so thought someone on here might know

whoops, I didn't phrase the post too wekk as I've already bought the three bar one - do you think I should return it and exchange for the 2 bar version? Also do you think the two bar one will be a lot quieter?

Hi Guys, Have bought a Stuart Turner Monsoon Universal 3.0 Bar Single pump for the bathroom. I'm planning to put this on top of a paving slab and insulating rubber as advised on various other posts... but my question to those of you who have installed the pump or have one is is it noisy...

the setup I am planning has a two bar single pump on the hot supply, a pressure reducing valve on the cold - set to two bar, all connected up to a thermostatic mixer shower - Should I be adding something else to the equation?

I understand that the supply pressures are unbalanced. Hence why I am putting a pump on the hot supply as it is a much lower pressure as the cold supply entering the flat.

yeah hot is stored in chlorifiers.

The hot supply is delivered by a cold tank in the roof space which flows down to the basement where it is heated by the boilers and then circulated though the system utilising the downward pressure of the original cold water feed.

the shower has got a thermostatic mixer as far as I'm aware

Hi Guys, thanks for the replies, the cold supply is already pumped as it comes through a communal system and the pressure of that is approx 2 bar, so am only using the pump on the hot to match that, therefore ensuring a balanced supply.
