That's exactly it. Just need to use a caulk or sealant and just seal the gaps in the floorboards but not sure which one to buy! I'm hoping this will fix it

Thank you, do you mean the gaps between the skirting and floorboards? The gap isn't huge to be honest so I think I will apply caulk all around. I'm pretty sure that's where it's coming from in that area. I'm just a little worried what we'll uncover when we take all of the laminate off. I hope...

A little dark, my husband said the same I was like wtf I think we'll lift the laminate and add sealant in those gaps and try to completely seal any gaps between the skirting and floorboards and hope for the best with underlay and carpet.

Yeah I think maybe it's that piece of wood blocking the airvent that is getting wet and moisture is rising from that because it is literally just in that corner

We think water is coming through the airvent somehow but I don't understand how water would travel up into the laminate. It's so weird. We don't know what to do! Would wet joists cause laminate to bubble?? That cable doesn't go outside the cable was actually dry.

I think it's an old phone line, our electrics seem to be in the subfloor along with our pipes etc.
