Tank sides are dry as a bone. I've taken the lagging off and there's not a drop on either the tank walls or the plastic lagging coating. Plus, to be fair, we only know about it because it's stained the ceiling below. That's a lot of condensation!

Afternoon all, The cold water tank in the loft (approximately year 2000, plastic) must be leaking. I can see a few inlets/outlets, none of which have any water around them. The water seems to be coming from underneath, as though the tank has a crack or puncture. No idea how after being in place...

Yeah, first job when I turn the heating on for winter. I've also tried balancing the radiators by turning them all off and then sequentially on again. Not worked. I reckon our pump and boiler are man enough too. Mystery to me.

I did shut the one valve off that did move (right hand side on my picture) with the heating and hot water both off. I've got a dead radiator and I was trying to work out if I could get it going. No open system work though...I guess my fiddling about must have been enough?

I've done this before and had iffish results - paint them quick and get the occasional run or paint them slower and get brush marks. I was wondering if it's worth taking them off the hinges and painting them flat to stop the runs happening? Or is it just a case of getting the technique right...
