Oh, that's a surprise, I didn't know that. Then maybe I should leave it as it is and save myself a lot of work. Thank you!

    Old Table to stain

I have an old rectangle small table, aged around 1920, with the chess inset squares. I sent just the top part to have a few repairs done, which were OK, but as well as the repairs the top has been painted over in Shellac which I don't like and I don't think represents that era. I was hoping to...

    A Rated Door Glass

Thank you again for your latest reply. I do have two small top windows either side of the doors, one of which is usually open but not at night. I understand the PIV, as a bathroom window was not being opened and steam was caused a damp problem there, in fact steam/damp managed to get in the pull...

    A Rated Door Glass

Thank you for replying, I am always interested to learn how different things work and was therefore very interested to learn about the sealed units. There is a tiny bit of condensation on the bottom of the glass in the mornings now, but not as much as with the old units. There is damp on and...

Thank you for all that information. I didn't realise there were so many things to consider, especially the licence part. At least now I shouldn't get a criminal record thanks to you. I will now do some homework, thank you again.

I am looking at the Lekato 2.4 ghz rechargeable wireless microphones at £68.00. Can anyone please advise whether they have any feedback on these or are there any...

    Booster for Freeview TV

Thank you for your reply, I did check the aerial worked directly to a TV. I also checked every connection many times. The signal is bad where I am, often at late evening the Freeview TV goes as the signal is not so strong then which is annoying when you are watching a programme and don't know...

    Booster for Freeview TV

Thank you for your reply, the TV does work with the aerial direct into one TV so I assumed the aerial was OK. Having said that, the unit came on this afternoon all by itself. I have checked all leads are secure so it seems it is an intermittent fault maybe.

    Booster for Freeview TV

No I haven't got a remote with it. Nothing fancy. Good idea with Screwfix, they are near me so that would be useful. Thank you so much for your help.

    Booster for Freeview TV

Thank you for your prompt replies. I have power nearby to the booster. My main TV is with a dish, for Freesat, cabling would be difficult to extend this to other rooms. The main aerial goes to the booster, two of the outlets on the booster are for Freeview use, the kitchen and 2nd bedroom, a...

Good Morning, My booster just for Freeview TV - signal poor in my area - is not working any more, it is about 12 years old. It is a Remotelink A240D/LTE VHF or UHF with 4 outlets. Moving photos around in albums

I have Windows 10 and I have a photo album of about 20 photos. Each time I put a copy or move photos into the album, they seem to go in a random placement instead of in the order I copy or move. I cannot find how to rearrange the photos in the album to the order I want. Can anyone advise please...

    Woodworm for external use

I have found a lot of woodworm on the outside of my garden shed and am having problems trying to buy exterior woodworm treatment. I think I would only need a 2.5 size tin. Are there any recommendations please? I have tried all the local suppliers but they only keep interior solutions. Many thanks.
