    Fire safety check (schools)

In our offices. Green light means it charging. Turn lights off at switch. They are now all off in the room. Then you should have a testing switch with a key to turn off power on the wall, so now count the emergency lights that come on. If you have 3 emergency lights then you should see 3. This...

    Fresh plaster advice?

Might have a few areas that need a wipe with 120 grade and maybe a little toupret filler in any dings or nicks. I think they say 7 defects per room max when skimned. Think I had a few more that that most of the time if I'm honest. Skimming over existing walls can cause a few patches and some...

    Paint flashing

Just not a good idea to use contract emulsion. It's only ment for new damp walls. No vinyl in it ( PVA) If you are applying with a brush it must look terrible I'd want to dustless sand that smooth. Prime walls with something like gardz. Get a quality emulsion with a 15inch or bigger roller and...

    Heavily textured walls

Have a dig. Artex which is white. Plaster is pinkish. Looks more like plaster to me. Doubt that has asbestos in but you may want to get it tested if it's white artex. Scrape and skim is your best bet. There are wall smoothers you could use then vacuum sand or even learn to plaster yourself.

    Glued wood and underlay

The wooden blocks are glued down then sanding flat with a floor sander. Then the wood is treated. I don't know how the floor would be soundproofed with a surface ready to stick blocks to. Soundproofing is all or nothing. You need to install the correct system. You need to ask the flooring...
