Can only comment on the Tyvek Supro. I had both pitches of the hip-to-gable exposed for a good few heavy down pours (6+ weeks) and it was pretty much impervious. Really impressive. The only bits that obviously let water by were the batten fixing holes.

Yes, the SE has drawn up the supporting structure. It's doubled / tripled up 125mm studs forming part of this gable wall. He wasn't kind enough to design up to the tiles tho.

Hi everyone. Putting up a timber framed dormer. Wrapping with a breather membrane. Should the membrane be cut & pulled though the window opening, installing the window ‘over the top’ of the membrane? Or should the membrane be trimmed around the exterior of the window opening? Many thanks!
