    Is this faulty wiring ?

The OP seems to be in South Africa. Maybe they wire things up differently over there but even so that all looks a bit mickey mouse to me.

    Weather Compensation Question...AGAIN?

Thanks for the links Johntheo5. I'll take my time and work through them. My current setting of 25 does seem to have improved things although the gas meter has taken a bit of a hit in the process.

    Weather Compensation Question...AGAIN?

Photo attached of the screen once "Mode" button pressed. You can't tell from the photo but the radiator symbol is flashing to indicate that this option can now be selected. If I toggled the up/down button it would then shift to the hot water icon which will then flash. As far as I know, the...

    Weather Compensation Question...AGAIN?

OK, the system has been running with WC for a couple or three weeks now and for the most part has been set at 20 which was the default when first connected. The house seemed colder than before the WC was connected so I raised the setting to 22 last week to see if that helped. Answer was.... not...

    Weather Compensation Question...AGAIN?

It's only been connected for a week so too soon to tell. Certainly the performance characteristic of the central heating has changed since I fitted it. Pre WC installation my room thermostat was set to 20degC and the boiler temp was set to 65degC. The boiler would click on & off until a room...

    Weather Compensation Question...AGAIN?

Yes, bad choice of word, boiler flow temp was what I meant. The ability to manually adjust this from 0 to whatever is now controlled by the WC which is restricted to 5 - 35. I'm a Civil Eng by trade but must admit that this heating caper really confuses me.

    Weather Compensation Question...AGAIN?

Can you please post a photo of display? Mine is a heat only (dial type boiler) and I have not been able to configure it. The only thing I can adjust now for central heating temp now that the WC is fitted is the slope setting between 5 - 35. The option to set the boiler temp for the heating has...

    Weather Compensation Question...AGAIN?

For me to get a better understanding of how the WC works I just need to know, as an example, what would happen if I selected the minimum setting of 5, and what would happen if it was set to the maximum of 35? And what changes I would notice from it's current setting of 20?

    Weather Compensation Question...AGAIN?

    Weather Compensation Question...AGAIN?

Hi, I have just fitted a weather compensator to my Vitodens 100-W boiler ( bought direct from Viesmann at an astonishingly expense for what it is ). All seems to be working well with the outside temperature now being displayed on the menu screen alongside the boiler flow temp. The Viesmann...

    EON vs EDF IHD

Update!! Following the advice on the link that Rodders53 posted, I moved my IHD next to the electric meter and restarted it. A minute later it was all working again. Perfect!!! About an hour later, following yet another short power outage ( regular round these parts and the cause of the initial...

    EON vs EDF IHD

Thanks for your replies guys. Didn't know this was a possible known fault. I'll work through the Eon troubleshooter to see if I can narrow down the fault. Won't be home for a couple of days though but will report back.

    EON vs EDF IHD

Hi all, My EON supplied IHD has malfunctioned and seems not to be able to connect to the wifi. The box boots-up but stalls straight away with the wifi icon flashing and the message "waiting for data". It will then re-boot after about a minute and try again but never gets any further. My other...

Thanks for the link. Mine is the 100-W B1KC. It does heating & DHW. The price on the Viessman site is only a few quid more than Screwfix so may go direct.

    Viessman 100 Weather Compensating Sensor

Hi My 2017 Vitodens 100 is due a service and as part of it I want to get a weather compensation sensor fitted. I've checked in the installation book that it has the capability to have one connected and I'll leave the installation to the service engineer. Just wanted to check whether this option...

    bAck Market Refurbed iPhone

I've bought a couple of refurbed Samsung S9s from Back Market in Feb this year and they have both been excellent value. You would never know they were used. Spotless, no scratches or damage, long battery life ( 2days on standby ). I opted for the A1 condition ones and paid a bit more but...

    Dual Flush Toilet Problem

If the disc can be removed by taking out the screw, why not replace it with a steel washer or similar... or glue a suitable plastic/steel disc on top of the broken piece. Save you the hassle and cost of buying a whole new flush system.
