    Flat green roof

Hey! For the green roof would you actually use felt-on or rubber membrane? Also how would you finish off the edge where gutter sits? I need to of course install some barrier to keep the soil in place but let water run to the gutter. The edge will be around 7m so quite long. I was thinking about...

    Flat green roof

Well another point, the roof run will be 5m so to extend it over the front and back I'd need about 6m rafters. I could not see ones that long so I guess i will have to join two together. If i overlap them and bolt together do you think this will hold well?

    Flat green roof

Then i shall go for ply, i suppose 18mm. Good shout. Yeah i was specifically looking for a house with a big garden. Then again, would it be good to use 200mm x 45mm with 450mm spacing? Or is it an overkill?

    Flat green roof

Hey! I am about to finish concrete block walls in my outer building. Next step would be to lay a roof on it. I am planning to build a green roof. I built a proof of concept on my bin shelter and it seems to work pretty well. So basically i am thinking to build a wooden frame, lower on one side...

    Electricity in shed

Well it doesn't really work this way. At least from my perspective. I think a smart switch so that i can switch the spa off when I'm hungry. Like a hidden one and then pretend it's broken. Go and cook hun and I'll fix it in the meantime.

    Electricity in shed

Oh quick one. Water will go in the same trench as the electricity. Fo i need to put both warning tapes above? I mean the yape you put 30cm in the ground about the pipes and cables.

    Front garden fence

Hardly anyone on the street did anything to the front garden. Most have some gravel or overgrown front gardens etc. Some put some bushes, some wooden fencing, nothing pretty really. Nobody renovated them. I am trying to make the hoisetlook neat and nice, did some work to front garden like cover...

    Front garden fence

I wasn't exactly sure tbh. I have never done any rendering except for a single wall, but could try my luck. Of course i need to wash it properly, would i just apply render on top of the pebbles or would you try to scrape them off first?

    Front garden fence

It would probably but there are a lot of spots where the pebbles are missing etc. I was also thinking of painting it with water and cement to keep more of the original look?

    Front garden fence

Hey Guys, I bought a house with terrible front garden fence, and i have no idea how to approach it. It is made of concrete, seems solid inside (not bricked) and rendered with pebbles, of which most are missing. Anyone had any luck repairing something like that? Ideally i would like to keep it...

    Electricity in shed

Yeah, if i have to later, I'll run another cable. Still hoping my NO to the spa will work. Then if so, there are a lot of models and the power consumption range is huge so not fully planning on that. Water will go to the 45litre pull along container, and be emptied to foul drain. The ones you...

    Electricity in shed

Already spoke with electrician, and we agreed pretty much what i have planned. I will do all the groundwork and he will connect to the house and install new CU in the shed later. Once i have a roof that is. My partner started talking abour SPA in the meantime which i will oppose as long as i can...

    Grey water in shed

What is not proper? For now i am running water only for the shed, the water for sprinklers will be added later and go from home, not shed. I am unsure what am i not doing properly? Also what diameter of pipe would you run?

    Screeding the shed

No drains, and ground will be mainly clay so i would imagine its gonna be fine. Thank you!

    Screeding the shed

Thank you! Actually those boards are not too expensive! Just that bloody digging re floor area, that is why i said about 7x5 i measured the predicted internal floor area and it will be just below 30sqm across the whole thing. 7x5 is what i had available for the shed, then some is used for...

    Grey water in shed

Right, that makes sense. Then again, do you think the water will just drip or is it going to be fine?

    Grey water in shed
