Bathroom Radiator Not Working, Air Block?

Thank you for the replies. The Bathroom radiator is not connected to the other rads, it is on the hot water system connected to the other plumbing - taps, shower. The radiator has a tap on one side so you can reduce the heat.

Bathroom Radiator Not Working, Air Block?

Water is definitely coming into the radiator ok, we drained the radiator and then turned it on, it warmed up but then the radiator got cold. So this means the water is not leaving the radiator? Any idea how to sort this out would be great.

New Alumiunium Windows Coating Coming Off

Hi, We just noticed when we open our new aluminium windows the coating in the gap where the screws have gone into the frames is peeling off very easily. I am concerned about the metal becoming rusty underneath, is it usual for this coating to come off so easily? [/img]

How to fix a Dusty Garage Floor?

Hi, Our garage floor is flaky in places - the sand/cement mix is coming off and making the place dusty every time the cars roll over it. I have seen some vinyl floor coverings for garages, (I am not sure how good these are) is this something we could just stick on top to cover it...

How to Make a Narrow boxing for Pipe in Kitchen?

Hi, We have a pipe in the kitchen running vertically from ceiling to floor and need to box it in somehow. The issue is this pipe is going to be very close to where the sink will be fitted so the narrower we can make the boxing the better. Does anyone have an idea which materials...

Tiler wants to use 6mm Marine Plywood on Walls, Ok?

I have my doubts AdamCH, but he did come highly recommended and said he uses 6mm plywood on all his other jobs too so I am not sure what to believe, to me it just sounds too thin but I am no expert.

Where to buy Solid Wood Internal Slab/Flush Door?

Thank you for the replies. Yes it has to be solid wood because we are raising the floor by 3cm due to fitting wood flooring with underlay and boards to level out the floor. All the doors I have seen are standard height and the shops have said they cannot be trimmed by 3cm and they...

Where to buy Solid Wood Internal Slab/Flush Door?

Hi, I am having trouble sourcing internal doors which are solid wood and flush. No need to be thick fire doors and they will be painted so would prefer if they are not too pricey. Any idea where I can get them?

Tiler wants to use 6mm Marine Plywood on Walls, Ok?

The tiler is using the 6mm marine plywood to construct a 'box' to house the hidden cistern for the back to wall toilet which he will then tile over with 600x300 porcelain tiles. He is also planning to use the same board for a section of one of the walls and for the bath panel which...

Tiler has put 10mm thick adhesive on bathroom walls?

We are having the bathroom tiled and the tiler has put a 10mm thick bed of adhesive to glue the porcelain tiles down. These are 600mm x 300mm tiles. The area is only 14 metres squared but he has asked me for 8 bags of tile adhesive. He has also put PVA on the...

New Floor need to trim an Old External Fire Door by 1.5cm?

Hi, Making plans to install new flooring and it just occurred to me this flooring is quite thick and it would require the front door which is a thick fire door to be trimmed by about 15mm from the bottom. This door looks like the original so it could be 70 plus years old, but Im...
