whats best way to do edges?

Got a plumber out in the end. It was blocked further long under my neighbours driveway. It appears theres only one manhole for the 3 houses in the row (nothing on my property). To be fair sorted now - £40. Bargain. For future reference, where does your responsibility end and water companies...

Bought bolt cutters in the end to do it. Short ones no good.....

20ftx12ft Bestway one. Looking at the garden its not that bad. Not measured yet but probably only falls away about 3 inches or so. Still need to do. Anyone attempted this? Or better to get a pro in to do it properly?

Tried unblocking chemicals, plunger, twisty 3m wire thing, even got something from amazon that you pump up and it blasts air down. Still partially blocked. Anything else I can try or time to get a plumber to do it?

Bought chain but its 2m. Easiest way to shorten?

Well insurance paid out on this. They did try to recover from the builder but he denied it and it looks like they can't be bothered. So its cost me £750 excess plus, of course, my insurance has gone up. Worth pursuing the guy through small claims? Apparently he doesn't have any insurance.

Are the spray stain things any good? Do you still need to paint over after use?

Could have been worse to be honest..... No bulging but of course a stain on the ceiling now. Will I get away with just painting over the small area or, generally, does the whole lot need to be repainted?

Nothing changed recently..... I thought I'd fixed it yesterday but its still flickering/off-on. Got a light fitting in the bathroom - the wires looked a bit burnt. I took it all apart and re-did the wiring and it seemed ok but nope back again. I'm wondering if its the actual light fitting now...

So Im guessing its a problem with the wiring somewhere half way around the loop circuit. One light came back on for a few secs so its wiring loose. Trouble is say 7 lights upstairs, 4 not working. So I guess any after light 4 on the loop is not working. Out of those 4 which one to start at...

Plans? Where do you get these from? All I have is the picture supplied. Yes those stairs are actually 90 degrees to what is shown. And very steep.

Used to 3 toilets in current house..... Two showers. With 2 kids (one in college most of the time) its going to be tough with one bathroom!
