    Gate lock

Yes 10 teeth but very pointed rather than flat cogs like picture I posted. The pointed teeth fit into dimples in the bar. Pictures attached I still have the cog from the old lock, thinking about buying a new cylinder and seeing if the cam can be swapped. Anyone know if this is possible with...

    Gate lock

I didn’t take pictures as half the lock was missing but found something similar. The center cam had a gear on it which drove the sliding bar.

    Gate lock

Hi all Currently have a Gatemate double lock on my garden gate. The lock has been snapped so I opened it up and see the cylinder isn’t replaceable. Had to get a whole new lock at just shoot £60! Is there anything similar out there with replaceable cylinders? The actual lock casing etc is good...

    Split Air conditioning….which is best

Thanks for that, much appreciated. It does seem the general consensus that Mitsi electric is better all round, with better efficiency as well. I’ve been quoted approx £4k for a 4-way system using MHI and was told mitsi electric was about 20% more. That’s was for a 8kw outdoor unit and 2.5kw...

    Split Air conditioning….which is best

Looking for a multi split as I don’t have much space in that side of the house…too far pillars, glass etc. I’ve been rough quotes for a 8kw outdoor with 4 x2.5kw indoor for Mitsubishi heavy with 7year warranty.

    Split Air conditioning….which is best

Thanks for that. Yeah finding each installer is usually tied to a few brands. I quite like the Mitsubishi electric units, Daikin I always remember from commercial I did not know about planning permission, thanks or letting me know. I’ll take a look into this

    Split Air conditioning….which is best

Hi all Looking at getting a split unit fitted to serve 3/4 rooms. So many brands out there and wondering if anyone who knows more about it can shed some light. I don’t just want to go for the cheapest, thinking about long term costs, reliability and maintenance etc as well. Thanks in advance

    Garage floor advice

It’s around 3.1m wide. I think I’ll end up going with a scissor type lift, spreads the weight more and won’t take up as much space. Just need to clear the damn thing…probably the hardest bit as nowhere for it to go

    Garage floor advice

I was thinking 150mm, 100mm was compacted sub base. I will take a look at installation docs. Will it need a dpm and if so how does that work at the front entrance.

    Garage floor advice

Yes. I’ve used drive on ramps for either front or rear but thinking about getting either a 2-post lift or a scissor lift

    Garage floor advice

Hi all My garage floor is very thin, looks to have been laid at about 3” with no dpc. I want to use my garage for car repairs with a lift and wanted to know what specs I should go to and rough costs ensuring a stable surface. It’s approximately 6m in length by just over 3m in width. I was...

    Osb3 t&g

Don’t think so, they do 600 and 625. Mine is 600mm on coverage, but they don’t seem to have stock of this one. Not any other local suppliers have sterling osb which I wanted to match and utilise boards I already have. I might take a piece with me to Selco and test it out, otherwise I’ll just...

Thanks. Wasn’t planning on using Selco but it’s local on they have sterling osb. Last lot came from eurocell in 2021/2 when I built my shed.
