There is 100mm PIR on the vertical walls. I could attach some additional PIR and fix these to the vertical struts in the wall. Would this make much difference in making the room warmer?

Thanks @CBW the bolts from the lock are stuck in the fixings so the window does not open. I have had a look at the window on the other side and it seems that there are two bolts that engage with the fixings on the frame to secure the window.
