If the new light fitting is double insulated you have to cut the earth wires back so they do not interfere with anything. If not double insulated then all earths fit to the earth point on the new light fitting

Had same problem, I fitted two vent tiles but did not get rid of all condensation, eventually fitted vents into the soffits and this worked perfectly. You have to make sure the eaves are clear so air can get through to circulate into the roof space
