    Painting emulsion over mould

Zinnser 123 - it'll prime the area stained by mould, block it out and it contains biocide, mould will not grow on it.

Is this EPDM Damaged? As delivered

Ok not ideal, but, it's close to the edge, so if I get it to just slip over the edge and be under a trim, it means I lose a bit the other side, it means the other side gets a over hang, but not quite enough, so what I could do is slide some rubber under the shorter edge to dress it all under the...

Is this EPDM Damaged? As delivered

The best way I can describe it, is if you run your finger across it, you can feel a slight compression, if that makes sense.

Is this EPDM Damaged? As delivered

Morning, I've just rolled out my EPDM sheet and noticed this and wondered if it's just a crease which will relax or if it's damage beyond that? Frustrating thing is, what choice do I have? I've got to get the roof covered, so may add a repair patch just in case but what else can I do? I can't...

    EPDM Rubber Roof

Actually at the other end it's too low, so I'm in the one above, which required me to remove the old lead flashing, I was hoping to remove it later but I've done it now. So boards are down, Russ Strip is down, just need to roll the rubber out.

    EPDM Rubber Roof

Ok, spent all day putting the new boards on. So regarding the metal flashing trim they give in the kit, it has a 90mm drop. The mortar course is 105mm from the boards, is that too close to the rubber? Or should I fit in at the next mortar course?

    EPDM Rubber Roof

That last full board was a bugger, I feel zonked, just a few short boards to come off now around the back and the free standing side, then tomorrow should be simpler as new boards on, cut a few to meet joist centres and then roll the covering on.

    EPDM Rubber Roof

Currently in progress, just having a tea break as I feel totally wrecked. Still in the process of getting the boards off, by using a chisel to scrape off the felt in places to expose the screws, I've got one more large board to do, then just a few small perimeter boards, then it'll be ready for...

    EPDM Rubber Roof

I've ordered the ClassicBond kit. It comes with all the trims and glues I'll need. Which pile roller is recommended for the water based adhesive? I'll have some spares I can use, just wondering what is best? Also the best place to get a penny roller and seam roller?

    EPDM Rubber Roof

Right, I've got the boards in. Need to order the EPDM kit. Do I really need to use Russ strip along the edge before it meets the wall?

    Pyronix Alarm Help

I'll just change the batteries, the house is being sold, with a working alarm, so we'll just do what we need to for now.

    Pyronix Alarm Help

Silly question here, but......the 3.0v lithium battery packs in the siren, are they rechargeable at all?

    EPDM Rubber Roof

This year has turned into three years later..... but anyway. Current roof joins the house wall and has lead flashing, shall I just tuck underneath that or remove the lead and tuck into the chase?

Repairing holes in tar loft felt

I've done repairs to such, with Flashband. Just gentle with the heat from an electric heat gun to melt the tar on the back of the tape.

    Pyronix Alarm Help

Thanks, wonder how to default it? If we did, I could reprogram everything again. Disabling it sounds fine though. My own alarm which I fitted years ago is a Texecom, managed by myself, though I know some people probably get an insurance discount when it's managed by a company.

    Pyronix Alarm Help

Ok, bit of a strange one, but here goes. Friend of mine is selling house, has an alarm managed by a company who charges a lot of money for simple things. The alarm is playing up, so basically she either wants the engineers code from the company, or basically I'm going to put my ear defenders...
