How secure are my sliding patio doors?

Hi, Can anyone advise how easy it would be to break in through these doors? They are pretty old but do have a multipoint lock and an extra key bolt thingy. Any tips much appreciated Cheers

    Kitchen/dining room knock through

If you want someone with insurance then don't use your neighbour. Get a structural engineer to do the drawings/calcs. Show the drawings to the builders and ask for a quote, make sure they stick to the engineers designs. Finally get the building inspector to sign it off.

Fridge/Freezer tripping RCD every 5 hours

It was the heating element. The repair guy accessed it via the freezer compartment, took him about 20 mins.

How to remove a 'line' running down the wall

No the wall is solid. There is a radiator underneath, maybe the heat causes it to expand/contract? although never heard of that before

How to remove a 'line' running down the wall

Its about 120cm from the end of the wall so I think you're right. Wondering if I could put a few screws either aside of the line to minimise any movement. I will do as advised. thanks

How to remove a 'line' running down the wall

Would that not also leave a visible line down the wall? or would sanding it down after filling make it invisible? Just worried I might make it even worse  thanks

How to remove a 'line' running down the wall

Hi, So I guess it is the opposite of a crack, a line or ridge running down the wall. I have tried sanding it down and re painting but it re appears straight away. At first I just thought I wasn't sanding it enough so I sand it again until there is no ridge and re paint...but it comes back...

Why would a JG fitting fail after 6 months?

It is on a angle/bend (bottom pipe in pic). Maybe the clip is too close to the fitting? I will get some collets. thanks

Why would a JG fitting fail after 6 months?

Hi, I noticed our boiler pressure started dropping and traced it to a leaky John Guest elbow fitting. It looked like it had almost completely unscrewed itself with the pipe still fully inserted. It has been fine since installation 6 months ago. I took it apart, inspected it, put it back...

UPVC door panel 27mm thickness? is that right?

Of course but its not its 27mm. Maybe the foam has shrunk by getting squeezed with the tight fitting beading. I'll order 28mm and hope for the best:sick:

UPVC door panel 27mm thickness? is that right?

Hi, I took out our front door Upvc panel today to measure for a replacement. My tape measure said it was 27mm thick which I presumed was wrong as I thought they come in 24mm or 28mm. So I use my partners measuring cailpers (she uses for jewelry making) which gave the thickness as 27.1mm. So...

    Anyone used UPVC paint?

Hi, I was thinking of painting my crappy looking white UPVC front door with some of that UPVC paint I've seen. Anyone know what the finish is like? Does it leave brush marks or look obviously DIY? Once I start there's no going back  thanks
