Morning all I've recently made 2 small rooms and a hallway into one room, about 4m by 4m. The floor is concrete and is not level - it ranges across the room to about an inch difference in some spots. The previous owner just had chipboard down over it, which left a lumpy feeling floor...

Sorry for not being clear, the plasterboard and insulation attached to it is 35mm thick, not just the plasterboard.

Thanks for the reply. I've been excavating and found that the boards that are up there are only just over 30mm, I had thought that they where thicker, so your right that it shouldn't be a problem to get long enough dry wall screws. Thanks.
