The carbon motor brushes have reduced massively, in less than 2 years! What length should they be, I am sure they are way reduced from what they were when I changed them last.

Hello, a slight problem I have is this: we bought a new mixer tap for our bathroom about 6 months ago from B & Q. Today there is no water coming out of either tap. The water is turned on to them both. Is there anything else obvious that I have missed? All other taps in our house are fine...

if i take the pan out, will it re-seal ok into the stack? the stack is cast iron, but the pan connector which is plastic goes into the cast iron junction close to the wall.

oh, thanks for your help Tony. Where about is the scraeder located on the vessel, as the boiler is high on the wall and with step ladders I can only feel in with my hand (just about)! Where could I get an extension air tube from, as my tyre foot pump is quite ancient?!

problem with my boiler, pressure goes up very quickly from 1.5 to 3 bar+ - I want to check the charge in the expansion vessel and see if diaphragm is ok, but can't get to it. I put my hand down gap at back of boiler and can feel the expansion vessel but can;t find the schraeder valve!! :oops...

one installer recommended getting the system cleaned before (not powerflushed but cleaned with chemicals before starting the install).
