    ok thanks for your advice. I will go to Wickes later on today and buy a voltmeter/multimeter. See if I can get a good deal!! I take it I only have to touch a part of the insulated wire and not the actual part which goes into the junction box!!? Just checking! I will read the instructions...

    Thankyou I will take your advice! I will get a new sink before I take the old one out! :) But is there standard sizes, so it is easy to get a replacement ? How to I work out the size, measure the whole sinktop or the bowl, drainer, etc??!
