Moving the lower part of a soil stack

No, never external. The utility room was part of the house when it was built. I won't cut just above the concrete, probably just below the inspection access. No signs of cracks or fractures. I'll be cutting it with a angle grinder and a metal cutting disc. Cheers, Adam

Moving the lower part of a soil stack

Thanks Ree. This current arrangement of the soil stack was already here when we bought the house back in 2009. Yes, up stairs is a toilet, bath and sink which all connect to the soil stack and then its up and out of the roof for the ventilation. My plan was to use slip couplers so i didn't...

Hi I've got a wooden joist running from one side of the house to no where. It stops just before the chimney stack. Same from the other side of the house. It sits on top of the loft joists and doesn't appear to be supporting anything. See picture below of the original house plans. What is...

House was built in the 50's. When you talk about PD rights, do you what is written in my deeds ? A neighbouring house has done the exact same extension if that helps. That drawing isn't totally accurate so take the exterior with a pinch of salt ;-) But that is 15 degrees. Our current roof...

Hi all, I want to extend my brick garage with timber frame workshop, this would mean the floor area was over 30m2, do i need PP or just BR ? If i kept the wall up between the garage and timber workshop and maybe had double doors, would it still be classed as a single floor ? Regards, Adam
