    Testing joints

Just being sensible. If any leaks can be identified before refilling the system I thought it would make sense!

    Testing joints

Hello, I'm looking at slightly moving some pipework for some rads, as well as changing some valves over to TRVs. As I'll be doing a full drain down, was thinking it may be useful to make up the pipework and joins and test beforehand? I can't seem to find a tried and tested method anywhere? Was...

Removing paint from lead flashing and roof

    Painting exterior render?

Hello Looking for some advice on how to 'repaint' this patch. I'm not sure if it's a thick textured paint, or the render has a pattern put into it (I'm guessing thick textured paint). Any advice? Thanks Graham

Heating when hot water is called for

Thanks for your response. After he told me I also needed a new gas valve, it turned out I actually needed a new PCB so I'm reluctant to get him back. Can anyone point me in a direction to test, or identify what else could cause this issue? I'm guessing an incorrectly wired 3-port valve, but...

Heating when hot water is called for

Good morning having had the 3 port valve replaced by a plumber, I'm still having this issue. I also replaced the PCB on my Potterton Profile 80 as I was having starting issues - now resolved. Since the plumber fitted it, the pump has been making a slight knocking/vibrating noise which...
