Dangerous sparking from double plug socket - even when outlet switched off

How much it costs can depend upon several factors. You need the socket replacing, a simple task and takes only a few minutes. However your likely going to pay a minimum charge/callout fee and the cost of the socket (which can be replaced for under a tenner). Then it depends where in the country...

    Disposing of coolant

Whatever you do, please do NOT pour it down any drain. As suggested, go the cat litter route as that can be disposed of at the tip.

    Boss fell into soil stack

Perhaps if that does not work, In the last pic I can see that the waste pipe can be lifted about 2' above the floor, undo some higher connectors and raise the pipe until you can separate them, then go fishing :)

holes in chimney breast at loft drug by drug gang

Vent holes for the grow tents to vent out into without looking obvious. You could probably do with the chimney top being inspected as it may need some recapping. Shove a brick in the hole and fill the rest of the space with sand/cement.

What are you watching on TV right now?

I have been watching the Yellowstone set of series. First there was the 1883 series, then 1923 series and now 5 seasons of Yellowstone - all about the same cowboy ranch. It has been good.

Time for a new boiler. Free boiler Facebook ads??

The valliant is saying different to other sites. Others are saying the boiler has to be 15 years old (amongst other things0 and you have to have someone on benefits in the house. Valliant are saying 8 years and the person claiming needs to be on benefits. Such confusion in the market hence I...

    Tinnitus

That's the same as mine Mottie, the scoops on the end are hellishly expensive. So I no longer try using those and just use the thing to see what's up in there. I may get some flexible filament and print some new scoops though :)

Generally low quality but enough for you to see what's in the places you cannot put your elbow :) Edit: Just looked on Amazon and they are upto 1080p now.

    Tinnitus

I have almost constant loud Tinnitus, even now it's louder than anything else. I do not have an ear full of wax, I know this because I have a otoscope, one of those very small camera's on a stick that you gently put in the ear and you get to see/take a poor quality picture or even video if you...

    Unbelievably awful

Could that lead to the cremation costs being halved to them yet they charge both times? Or have they been selling off cadavers for medical research? (OK, I just watched a few episodes of Dodger :) )

    Annoying Driving Habits...

Here we are 20 years after this thread was started and I'm sure the same things are annoying other drivers. Just like drivers that drive with a broken headlight, not putting their headlights on 1/2 hour before dusk and drivers with multiple faulty rear lights- they annoyed me 30 years ago and...

Hi, I seem to have 2 bathoom extractor fans, does this seem right?

Are you sure the one by the shower is actually a fan and not just the inlet for the inline fan that's above the ceiling?

What's the best way to replace or extend the cable on this power supply?

Soldering and heatshrink is a perfectly good method of extending the cable. You'd still need to do that to the neutral if you use the inline switch, you may be able to do it in the switch though.
