Hi folks, is it possible to cause components to blow just by checking them for continuity, or by checking continuity between different components. In other words can i just randomly check continuity in an appliance w/o fear of something blowing as long as i don't make any mistakes - like...

Hi, Does anyone have an opinion on using wire/steel wool for sanding? Seems to me it be very useful for getting at the contours of skirting boards, but i think some paint manufacturers say not to use the stuff. Cheers

Hi folks, A job i'm working at at the mo doesn't seem to have a way of seperating the power to the CH from the HW. In other words, when you want the central heating on, you get hot water whether u want or not - this doesn't seem right. Is this likely at all? or am i just misunderstanding...

So i decided to clean the filter of the machine even though there were no problems. Cleaned it, put it back and.... water! ... on the floor. Pouring out through the two holes u can see either side of the centri bit. Were there some kind of ball bearings at those two holes that i've lost. Strange...
