    Hive & Main Eco Compact

Hi All, I have a newish main eco compact 30 and dual channel Hive (I know, I know... but it's worked fine for the past 8 years with my previous combi). The boiler has been off for a few weeks for some plastering and other jobs. I've filled and vented everything, powered up the boiler, Hive is...

Opening up fireplace. No large lintel and no arch

No high lintel and no arch? Evening All, I've cleared some plaster off of our dining room chimney breast and I've found an obvious opening that looks original and some infil with rubble behind. At the top of the opening I've found what looks like two c section steels back to back and lined...

    Bosch WFO2465GB Problem/s

Thanks both for all the help Think I’ve found the culprit... Is this type of damage normally due to age or is it likely another component caused the board damage? Just wondering how likely it is to happen again and damage a new board. Mike

    Bosch WFO2465GB Problem/s

Progress so far: No signs of burning on heater connections or wires. Have blown down tube for water level switch and seems clear can hear bubbling etc. Have checked continuity on wires between heater terminals: one goes to the level switch and the other onto the back of the control board. Both...

    Bosch WFO2465GB Problem/s

Thanks JJ. The glass definitely feels like mains cold water temp no matter what programme we set it on. Interestingly if the delicates wash is used the full cycle completes rather than hanging at 1 minute then needing to be clicked on to rinse and spin. I would be ok to test the voltage at...

    Bosch WFO2465GB Problem/s

Hi All, Our bosch WFO2465GB washer has a problem, possibly more than one. When washing it can run for much longer than the programme should (indicator stays on 1 minute for a long time). When we take the clothes out at this stage they are still soapy so it appears to be stuck in the cycle be...

At risk of splitting or normal???

Hi All, May be a numb question but I just want to be sure... I’ve just had some timber delivered from a merchant and one of the pressure treated 6x2s has cracking that runs along length but also through the centreline. I know cracking is common as wood dries out but is this the same or is it...

    Intermittent hot water fault (n)

Thanks for the responses and sorry for the late reply. Strangely it seems to be working fine again now so I'm wondering if the problem was with the mains coming into the house fluctuating. If does start again at least I have your pointers to start with now. Cheers, Mike

    Intermittent hot water fault (n)

Just tried with bathroom tap which is on same leg as the shower. Ran hot continuously for about 5 mins with no issues. Heating currently off if that helps with diagnosis (n)
