    Oh yeah, I see what you mean now, they do look the exact same apart from the front. Seem they are both about the same price I think maybe the Creda version is newer than the Dimplex version. So maybe that's why you local place has not heard of them? Would an online place not deliver?

    not sure about the Creda version called Quantum, but the linked Creda storage heaters no longer exist, think they where called credanet? Anway Creda and Dimplex are the same company :-)

    I got one of them.....proper engineering it started 2nd pull on petrol that had been in the tank for at least 10years!! you can use it on a small boat if you wish, but some inland water ways have banned premix 2 strokes, on the sea do what you like :D

    Metal bath.........but has plastic pipes, would that make it safer :? If it needs earthing what sort is better, a small bag of multi-purpose compost, or a bag of top soil?

    I keep getting a shock off an 11Kv transformer when I have a bath. I connected both outputs to the hot and cold taps, and run a flying lead directly to the leccy meter.....used a 50mm bolt as a fuse so I think I'm safe in that respect. Do I need to earth it? :oops:

    They used to use different colours to us, new wiring should be the same as ours. Old stuff IIRC is: Live = Blue Neutral = Black Green, Green/yell, random bits of other colours wire = Earth.....loads old stuff didn't have earths, and way, way back in Germany I believe the earth was Red...
