    Slip this over the edge of the board before you put it on the long edge goes on the outside it creates a nice straight line to skim to so there is no uneveness...

    Ceiling crack returned after replastering.

    Rip the fibre tape out and replace it with paper tape look in my album there are some pics of me doing this about 8 years ago and no cracks have come back

    You should have taken some pics before you started sanding , but yes it's not acceptable best thing to do at this point would be to feather the rough edges in with easifil , you will find the easifil goes on better if you mist coat the bare plaster first

    A difference of 5mm or so wont make much difference If i turned up on your job I would float it into the door frame I wouldent be giving it a second thought, i have have be been on jobs where I've seen hardwall go on a lot thicker than that

    That sill should be overlapping the wall with a drip its shouldent be level with the wall, what you can so is clad it with a plastic sill take the lower bead off and then render

    Bg are right paper tape is stronger I done my own ceiling with it after cracks appeared done this about 8 years ago and and no cracks have reappeard I think there are some pics of it in my albums I ripped the old scrim out, also some contractors ask for paper tape to be used instead of fibre...

    The only way the good render could be damaged is when they are taking the failed render off to patch it
