    It is connected to a separate connector block effectively used as 2, I think. We always thought when this was installed that it looked a bit weird, but it worked fine for 14 years.

    Here is a picture of the wiring center. The original installer used the vertical connector blocks as terminal 2 and 3, the only deviation from a standard fitment I can see is the addition of a frost stat.

    Update, have just advanced the heating to see if that works ok and it does, problem is that when I turn the heating off the mid position valve does not return to HW un less I turn power of then on again.

    Hi, well I have just replaced the programmer and thought all was ok until this morning when the boiler came on again when program said off. I have managed to find out that it is the tank stat which is calling for heat, has anybody any ideas as to what the problem might be?

    Many thanks for the reply, I have just removed the frost stat but have the same problem so it looks loke the programmer is the culprit.
