    Hi, for the second time in a year the shower power switch outside my bathroom has overheated and melted inside causing the shower to trip out, what could be causing this? Both time its seems to have happened in the morning when all 4 in the house have been going in for showers one after the other

    kitchen wall units on a stud wall

    Hi, so the french cleats on my kitchen units are not going to match up with the studs on my kitchen wall. I am going to cut out the plasterboard and replace with ply and screw the units on to this. However it is just hardboard backing on the units, will screws through this in to the ply hold?

    Hi, the valves either side of my bathroom radiator are leaking at the bit where turn the valve to open and close. When have them both totally closed no water comes out, but when turn the valve it is leaking at the handle bit, am i going to need a new radiator?

    cutting toilet waste pipe

    Hi, the 90deg waste pipe for my toilet is it wrong angle for my new toilet. Can i cut this before the bend and replace with a flexable fitting? This new fitting looks like would slip inside old pipe with rubber fins, this sound like a goer?

    How long should you leave it between having room skimmed and tiling on to the walls, is it the same rule as for painting or do you need leave it longer?

    i'm about to totally re-do a bathroomand the flooring going down will be laminate. Is it ok to lay the floor complete then place the toilet and sink on it rather that cutting the laminate to fit round them?

    mountifled mowere not picking up grass

    hi, i've got a mountfield mower, but there seems to be a design fault or am i being a fool. It seems that the rear collection bag is at too steep an angle, therefore instead of the grass being blown into it you get some through that then blocks the exit from the mower as it slides back down...

    kitchen doors too small

    thought would smarten up my kitchen with new doors, however, the doors are 15mm smaller than the units. Is it possible to cut 15mm off the top of the units and fit the new doors as normal?

    Hi i have bought replacement doors for my kitchen units, however, ther are 15mm too small compared to my existing carcases. Can i cut the 15 mm off the sides of the carcases at highest point, then replace with the top covering, and fit the new doors?

    does this battery ryobi Model - BPR-181 fit the one plus system? i have one plus drill with battery model BPP-1815, but looks exact same as the aore mentioned and both 18volts, would the batteries be interchangeable?

    Hi, the mortice lock on my font door has broken in the locked position, the key wont unlock it, is there anyway i can remove it without having to call in a lock smith? I can access it from the indoor side, is there a method of removal?

    bosch jigsaw straight cut guide

    does anyone know where i can get a guide for straight cuts using a bosch jigsaw? know these exist, you attach them to the jigsaw and they hold the side of the wood being cut so it goes in a straight line, any help??

    Got 18v ryobi one plus collection combi drill and impact drill with two batteries, charger and hard case at B&Q in sale for £70!! they retail in screwfix for £130. Dont know if all B&Q's doing it but would imagine so, great bargain, so good i bought two of them!!
