Hi
What ratio of sand cement to use to repoint these old red bricks.
Also can I repoint dpc line as well?
Should I use cement and building sand?
I seen on forum some one suggested NHL 3.5 lime? What is that? I could not find that in local b&q and wickes.
Thanks

I did a mist coat 6 months ago on newly skimmed kitchen walls. Should I apply PVA or Gardz Zinsser...

Hi,
I have put Wurth caulk in the internal corners of walls to hide very small gaps between lining paper. I have to apply emulsion water based paint.
I am not sure which type of Zinser sealer should I use on top of caulk to avoid flashing:
I found three different Zinger sealers:
Blue
Red...
I have hair line cracks in one of my wall (old property). The was was was skimmed about 1 year ago but seems underlying plaster is crumbling.
Just wondering if any one has used Toupret Wall Hardener in this case.
I spoken with Toupret guy and he suggested to use this before any filling...
I have a patch in my wall (half a meter square) where plaster has blown as its sounds hollow.
Is it possible to fix that section only as remaining part of the wall sounds solid?
If possible then how should I fix it as this is old property and wall is a brick structure:
Not sure which option...
we purchased a house built in 1940's... we decided to skim the whole house as there were cracks in the old plaster.
The house walls are solid brick walls.
they guy put two coats of plaster with pva.
we painted the whole house but found cracks after 3 months... there seems hairline cracks so...
We have put new engineered wood and new skirting.
there are certain places where there is gap b/w floor and skirting.
just wondering how to fill these uneven small gaps?
