Wee update on this Was a fault with the rear control box , Vauxhall mechanic has managed to get it working with a little trickery ;) Car will be traded in if I ever need to spend big bucks on it ...

Had the plug (green one) disconnected & it looks fine , no corrosion or water ingress. Is the rear control box prone to faults ?

Haven't done anything with battery ! Is it worth a try ? Not got oscilloscope :cry:

I just measured across the tracks on both sides to compare readings . Good side reading 3v Bad side reading 13v I've tried the faulty cluster on the other side & it works perfectly.

Just to clarify 3v was measured across the working light & 13v measured across non working light , measured across the bulb track. Regards the potential earth issue !!! Would an earth fault not affect all the lights on the cluster ?

I'm hoping it's a daft missed fuse , the owners manual doesn't mention split fuses & ive checked all the 5amp in the rear box ( did find out why my front charger hasn't worked for years) felt like a glorious moment only to realise it wasn't the fuse I was looking for:( I'll pull out the front...

It's the correct bulb & ive tested the cluster on the other side & it works fine. Out of curiosity if the earth was faulty why does everything else on that cluster still work ? A wiring diagram would be handy . Front lights are fine .

Get the installer back & get him to look at the S codes whilst the issue is happening or look at the manual yourself for S code access & monitor yourself

Does the tap symbol appear when this is happening & why did the installer fit a combi and leave the cylinder in ??? Sounds like a dead leg to me .

Is the Honeywell receiver not wired wrong ? Both lives & B are linked !!! Should it not be lives & A linked & switching on B ?

I'd go +1 with Dan & the rest,choked cold feed on the coil return if that's were it t's into... Enough to stop flow through the coil , I'm sure you'll find in a month or 2 if left you'll have a total blockage and the system won't fill ..

Call a RGI , cracking little boiler probably just needs a good service/TLC

New style pcb flashing Amber ! New pcb time I'm afraid , it thinks the boiler stat is turned off. Pretty common fault on the newer pcb's. Probably find it's pretty random then gets progressively worse .

How do you set up the boiler to run between 9 & 5 ?
