    Patio hypochlorite

Hello, thanks for your reply. Children no, pets yes. What i'm thinking of doing is clean it normally with my pressure washer, then the next day use the hypochlorite and agitate with a brush. Now this is the bit i'm not sure at, I assume after i've agitated it, I then pressure washer off...

    Kitchen sink waste nightmare

I mean a new seal, from the new 40mm pipe screwing into the 1st and 2nd picture. I’ll need to get one of them rather than reuse the same one in picture 4. This is the other part I’m confused at, the solvent weld pipe is 43mm but the 90 degree bend says 40mm, how is that possible to get 43 into 40

    Kitchen sink waste nightmare

Hi, thanks for your reply. Just to clarify, if I get 40mm pipe it’ll still work with the part in my 1st and 2nd picture on my second post? Obviously I’ll need a new washer for it but should be good? I was only thinking I’d need to change the silver parts because it’s not a standard size...

    Kitchen sink waste nightmare

Few more pictures of the setup. Also if anyone knows whether I can just get 40mm pipe and put into picture 1 where the current 43mm goes and won’t get leaks even easier as I can keep the whole setup, apart from new 40mm to soil This below is a 43mm pipe. If I can get new 40mm pipe to replace...

    Kitchen sink waste nightmare

I’ve had a nightmare recently where the dish washer decided it had enough. I thought at first it may be blocked so took the hose off the kitchen waste trap incase it was blocked it wasn’t. Whilst doing that I felt the waste pipe to the soil pipe drop a little, I looked into the soil pipe and...

Spray concrete instead of suspended floor?

It’s more of a case the suspended floor has a small gap between the wooden frame and the original garage concrete floor as it’s not 100% flat If I wedged something underneath I doubt it would stay when the washing machine is spinning as it’s fastest rate. I know when I get the rest of the...

Spray concrete instead of suspended floor?

To be honest I’ve no idea on those answers, I did assume I’d be able to remove the plasterboard and bit of wool insulation would expose enough for someone to come in and do their magic. I guess it’s down to 2 options, leave it as is or take all the units out to do it properly but that’ll be a...

Spray concrete instead of suspended floor?

It’s not just the washing machine, I failed to say when you walk on it you know it’s a suspended floor as it seems a bit squishy if that makes sense. I must admit I recently found in the new washing machine packet a couple of 3M stickers which is basically like really course sandpiper and it’s...

Spray concrete instead of suspended floor?

Hello, A section of my kitchen is part of the integral garage, so precious people used a bit of the garage then had a suspended floor installed. When I’m in the garage looking at the stud wall which has a door to the kitchen, I can remove some plasterboard and insulation and see the suspended...

    Garage wall insulation

Hello sorry for the long reply. If I buy some 80mm pir insulation and put in the stud wall, would a larger almost single sheet of 20mm suffice to cover the studs, then put existing platerboard back on (the plasterboard is literally screwed in and painted white). They’ll be no heat generated in...

    Garage wall insulation

Is a place you recommend? Also is the price what you see normal or are they doing the ol’ “supply and demand”? I only need about 2 maybe 3 sheets at 1.2m wide I can see places like b&q, wickes etc no longer doing the 3 for the price of 1/2 on the rock wool loft toppers (that can wait but I...

    Garage wall insulation

Hello, My garage is part of the house with a bedroom above, at the back of the garage is a stud wall and a door which goes into our kitchen. I removed the the screwed on plasterboard panels from the garage side and in between the noggins is wool insulation, but I just feel this isn’t enough as...

    MR16 dead?

I wonder if it is indeed a supply issue rather than a phasing out like I thought.

    MR16 dead?

Ah I see, are they phasing out GU5.3?, this is what I have with the two needle like pins at the bottom. I’m not sure if it’s a phasing out or supply shortage issue

    MR16 dead?

Hello, I’ve got two naff multi colour led bulbs in my kitchen along with 13 normal led cool white bulbs. I took one of the bulbs out and noticed it was MR16, then checked the normal one bulb and MR16 too. I thought righto I’ll need to buy 15 MR16 bulbs, it seems that not many places are...

    Hammerite white gloss radiator paint

it’s a double convector but doesn’t have the nice grill covers and sides, isn’t that link you sent a normal metric radiator?

    Hammerite white gloss radiator paint

The heat output being reduced is a concern. It’s a type 22 radiator from new build back in 1999 Width: 1444mm Height: 400mm I do want everything metric at some point though because it’ll be easier and usually cheaper going forward but if you know somewhere reasonably priced that’ll be good to...
