Sink drain pulling vaccum on boiler condensate trap

my gas engineer who services it each year says its fine. Is your new build still under 2 years old? if so speak to the developer as ask the question. I'm guessing the drain of the sink isn't connected to any soil stack with ventilation but connected directly to the outside sewer pipe. If this...

Sink drain pulling vaccum on boiler condensate trap

Did you check your boiler is factory fitted with a 75mm sealed condensate trap as shown in the Ideal installation manual? if so then you'll hear the bubbling but it wont empty the trap so is safe to leave as it is.

    Condensate drain location

Quick question please, can the condensate drain from a condensing boiler be routed into the F and E tank in the loft via a condensate removal pump or must it be routed into a drain? Thanks.

    Will Roof Tile Vents Help?

I cant answer the vented tiles question but can comment on the PIV system as that's what I have in my new build and they automatically switch off when the loft temperature rises to a certain amount. Just something to be aware off that they wont run 24/7. So they don't run in summer and then in...

Smartcom notifications - how to stop them.....

I think it a good idea to have open/close alerts as it gives you more confidence you'll receive that all important alert if required. Many times the Texecom app will crash in the background on your phone unbeknown to the end user.

    Canopy and flue outlet

The installation manual has no guidance at all about flue clearances other than when its on a flat or pitched roof. I have the full install manual so unsure why the information is missing.

    Canopy and flue outlet

I want to attach a canopy to the side of my house over the utility door, as you can see from the pictures attached the flue will be just under the canopy. The canopy will be 80cm deep and 200cm wide, will the flue be within the regulations in this situation? The boiler is an Ideal Logic combi...

    Not Internet Enabled Boiler Controller

no you wouldn't, I could adjust the bedrooms as I went to bed so when the CH timer switched on in the mornings the TRV would be at the correct position, then wake up in the morning and adjust them back down again ready for the day. Rinse and repeat and saved myself £400.

    Not Internet Enabled Boiler Controller

would you not just get the same saving running round the house twice a day manually changing the setting on your existing TRV's but saving £400 initial cost and ongoing battery cost? the running around would also warm you up so win win.
