Central Heating - control with timer and thermostat at different times

Hi all I've read around a few other threads, but I don't think this exact question has been asked before... (and apologies if it has! In which case please direct me to it) Boiler: Greenstar 38 CDi Thermostat: Honeywell DTS92E1020 wireless thermostat Receiver: I don't remember exactly, but I...

Replace previous conservatory with extension up to the boundary line?

Thanks all for the comments. The centre of the party wall is definitely the white line in the middle of the downpipe, as i measured from both sides both internally and externally. The downpipe is the original one from when the house was built (metal one), and no one has done any work to...

Replace previous conservatory with extension up to the boundary line?

So.. can I take that to mean it would be ok to go as far as our internal boundary, as it still wouldn't overhang over the actual boundary line?

Replace previous conservatory with extension up to the boundary line?

Hi all, got a question for people familiar with boundary line/PWA scenarios. FYI: the boundary line in question is marked as "ours" on the property deeds. We have started work on our rear extension, which includes tearing down our existing conservatory, and building a rear extension. When the...

12-13 degree tiled roof with Velux flat roof windows

Hi jontop A timely response, as the building work starts next week! (got delayed by a few weeks). Unfortunately, i don't think it's possible to raise the pitch of the roof. The house has already been extended to the side, and the window on the side extension part is larger than the original...

12-13 degree tiled roof with Velux flat roof windows

Thanks for the suggestion. Admittedly I've only done a quick search from work, but it seems Forticrete is more about the system (and using their tiles), rather than the window specifically?

12-13 degree tiled roof with Velux flat roof windows

Thanks for the details. It certainly looks like the Fakro kit is just what we need. The Monier Regent tiles have a profile of 63mm, so I would be right in saying that we would need the "EHA" flashing kit? (supports tiles up to 90mm profile, while the EZA kit only covers to 45mm) I take it that...

12-13 degree tiled roof with Velux flat roof windows

Hi all, I queried this with Velux, and they said it would be fine. However, I'm just wondering if anyone has any example pictures of this type of work done before. I tried looking online and couldn't find anything for this sort of scenario. We are going to start our new rear extension at the...

Chased alarm cable - Just skim over or render too?

Hi all, I've chased an alarm cable for the remote keypada while ago, and never got round to covering the cable point up again until now. See the pic below for how it looks. Would I be able to just fill it with skim, or would i need to put some render/cement in there first? Chased alarm cable...

Zone Wiring - Zone Group Options

Do you have any resistors in the surface contact? Double Pole/EOL is really only used when you have resistors inside the sensor/contact I did the following for my surface contacts: Zone Wiring - Normally Closed 2 wires used for the zone contacts 2 wires put under one screw in the contact...

Are the surface contacts actually wired up as Double Pole/EOL with resistors (either added in the contact, or built in)? I found my surface contacts state tamper unless i put the wiring as "Normally Closed". The tamper wires were put together under a single screw in the contact and wired up...

    Texecom comip wintex connection issues

I think the issue is when you changed router. What is the rouer IP address, and IP range that the new router is using to dish out IP addresses? is it also 192.168.0.X, or is the second to last digit different (like 192.168.1.X) Sometimes it is possible to access the web page because you...

    Wrong Date On Start Up.

When you opened the tower did you clean any dust out? People sometimes think that helps a bit. It doesn't really improve the performance/speed, but it can help reduce the temperature inside especially if you clear out fans/heatsinks.

I have the DBD-0171, which is the Surface Mounted keypad. The metal keypads are very high quality. Also, if you are going to have a Flush Mounted Keypad, I think you are meant to get the plastic backing box too. I don't think it comes included with the FMK DBE-0002 It looks a similar...
