You can go vertically from the socket and run the cable horizontally along the top of the wall as long as it is no more than 150mm from the ceiling and then back down to a socket.

Can anyone explain why a 32A MCB is not suitable for 2.5mm T/E when the majority of domestic ring mains and radial circuits use it ?
