    You could well be right Paul, but the 'recovery' of your HW will not be any faster & I do think your boiler will cycle more also with the C Plan.

    By the sounds of it Paul you've a gravity HW system & pumped CH. perhaps it would be easier to convert it to a fully pumped system & install an S Plan. My only reservation is short cycling your oil boiler, they don't really hit peak performance until they've been fired up for 15-20 minutes...

    Modern wash basins are very shallow, last time I used one of these basins with these taps, it splashed so much it looked like I'd pizzed myself!!

    Not sure why you're bothered about drop feeding from above, the pipes will be mostly concealed by the curtains.

    There's a few high value boilers I'd recommend in a heart beat; Vaillant Group Heatline Vokera Easi-Heat Ravenheat White Heat Ariston Clas Not many fancy features on these boilers, but they're reliable boilers if correctly fitted.

    There's a popular misconception about good value boilers; due to warranties etc, no manufacturer makes a bad boiler. Most, if not all, boiler manufacturers 'screwdriver' together a boiler with components from various manufacturers. The boiler will have pros & cons.

    For most modern homes with average hot water demand a >40KW Combi will be more than adaquit. Drivel as always BG.

    Most modern boilers are OK & the golden rule is don't get some moron to fit it, any tozpot can fit a boiler, but have they cleaned the system correctly, have they fitted the correct size gas pipe, have they considered the system design & suitability? Have they installed the boiler correctly...
