Auto air vent failure Worcester combi

Yes. Seven rads. Three bed semi. System six years old and has a magna cleanse. I think he based it purely on looking at the failed part not testing the system water.

Auto air vent failure Worcester combi

Evening, My Worcester combi had an auto air vent failure with water leaking out of it. Worcester came and swapped it out under warranty but said I had to get the system flushed otherwise they wouldn’t honour further warranty repairs. I’m not aware of any testing undertaken, just a visual...

    Waste compression fitting query

Evening, I’m fitting a new bath in my house and noticed the trap compression fitting isn’t fully inserted on the 40 mm pipe. It probably goes halfway in due to the proximity of a pipe fitting (solvent weld). There is no evidence of a leak but it unnerves me! Thanks.

Toilet fill valve hissing. A new one!

Maybe some debris then. It started an hour after I fit it. Flushed 10 times now so hopefully cleared. Annoying.

Disconnecting the Karcher K4 hose from the lance

Fair point. I run the water through before starting (for the pump) and I guess do it in reverse for some reason.

Disconnecting the Karcher K4 hose from the lance

Ok I think I’ve figured it out. Looks like there’s a safety feature so you can’t disconnect any parts until the pressure is released. This is not explained in the manual….. I needed to do the following once I’d finished using the washer: 1. Turn the washer off. 2. Press the trigger (to...

    Paint cracking

Hi I’ve just painted my kitchen with Johnstons kitchen paint. I put two coats over an old silk emotion. I gave it a fill in the sand and wipe down beforehand. Now it’s dried and has loads of fine cracks all over it. Advice would be gratefully received.

Bosch pmf 220 ce multi-tool brushes??

Thanks all. It’s not under warranty any more. It has lost power under load or not. Actually it has now totally died so not sure what to do. Might take it apart and have a look see. Moving the power cable does not appear to make any difference. I’ll keep you posted…..

Bosch pmf 220 ce multi-tool brushes??

Evening. I’ve got the above multitool which I’m currently using to regrout bathroom tiles. It’s suddenly started losing power and sort of fluctuating. I was wondering if this could be the brushes? If so they don’t seem to be listed as a spare part. Any ideas? Cheers.

Using non-sprayable paint in an airless sprayer....

Evening, I've just got an airless sprayer for a reno project (GXFF). I've already got 30L of Dulux wall and ceiling paint which isn't supposed to be sprayed (according to the spec). Question is - what will happen if I do spray it?! Was going to water it down a little 10% and go for it.... Cheers
