    Laying stick down vinyl planks

Sorry just jumping on this thread as I have just finished feathering the joints in ply sheets in the kitchen. It was very flat so did not completely screed the whole floor. We are laying luxury vinyl tiles with Laybond Vinyl adhesive but I cannot work out if the ply needs priming before the...

Has my old Mum been ripped off?

Have you calculated the size of the ceiling correctly? It's going to be bigger than 3m2 if one length is 3m long Sorry yes I meant 3m x 3m ....edited now.

Has my old Mum been ripped off?

My Mum is 82 and arranged for a particular plasterer to repair and skim her bedroom ceiling (friend of a friend sort of thing). I popped in to see her today and she told me how much he charged. Basically the room is approx 3m x 3m and the plaster (on a concrete ceiling) was cracked straight down...

Duravit Stark 3 wall hung w.c. - anyone got a degree in algebra?

Can anyone decipher the instructions in pics 2 to 5? Basically I think the measurement Y is the distance from the back of the pan to the hole in the durafix arms. Then to work out how far the hanging bolts need to be sticking out to ensure the fixing bolts screw into place AND tighten the toilet...

Taking up and re-laying a stone resin tray

Funnily enough thats exactly what hubby used on the old tray 16 years ago. Worked a treat. He only agreed to use the sand and cement cos that was what Simpson's said to use. I need to stop being so hard on the poor guy don't I?

Taking up and re-laying a stone resin tray

Dont start feeling sorry for him!! It was on the tray ...in big red writing. "...LAID ON A WET MIX OF SAND AND CEMENT..." He did a perfect job 16 years ago with the old shower tray and that never moved or cracked. In fact I think if the house had fallen down that shower would still be standing...

Taking up and re-laying a stone resin tray

Hi John Its in a corner and I think with some gentle persuasion it will come away. Happy to do some work to get it right. And yes its heavy. I helped to carry it up the stairs!

Taking up and re-laying a stone resin tray

Is the tray likely to be stuck to the wet mix cement or just on top of it?

Taking up and re-laying a stone resin tray

My husband has laid out shower tray on a bed of sand and cement because the instructions say to do this. Only problem is he appears to have had a semi dry mix under the back corner instead of wet mix and I can now hear it "crunching" and creaking. I've told him its not acceptable as it...

OK before we drain the heating system and move the pipe can anyone advise if the heat from a central heating pipe will melt or degrade the plastic waste trap for a shower? It is resting on it and there is no room for insulation
