    New Boiler or Not?

Hi. I currently have a Worcester Bosch Greenstar R35 HE Plus boiler. It is working fine and we have a service contract with Worcester Bosch, although this is now costing in excess of £400 a year. I am in the mind of replacing the boiler while I still can. I don’t want a heat pump so I am...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 35 HE Plus - Secondary Heat Exchanger

I have a service contract with WB for this boiler. Would a scaled up secondary heat exchanger be covered? For some years now our radiators have been getting hot in summer. In 2018 they changed the 3 way valve head. In 2019 they changed the complete 3 way valve. It still did it. In 2020 a...

The water pressure...

    Garage Lighting

My garage lights have never worked since I bought the house. I am going to replace the existing Batten lights with IP65 batten lights. The cable that feeds the 2 existing lights is either 1 or 1.5mm standard twin and earth. Is that cable okay for a garage, if not what should it be? Thanks Tim

    LED Lights Glowing When Off

Hi. I think I have a wiring fault and need some advice. I fitted some LED bulbs in a ceiling light where the room has 2 light switches. The bulbs have a very faint glow when turned off. My meter shows 7 volts at the light fitting terminals. What on earth could be causing this and is it dangerous?

    Damp

Hi. The back wall in my bedroom wardrobe used to be an external wall before an extension was added. We keep getting damp up the wall close to where it meets the side wall of the house. I put in a tube heater on a thermostat which has helped. I noticed the other day that there are crystals...

    Slipped Facia Tile

One of our fascia tiles on the front of the house has slipped down. Is every row normally nailed or is is usually every 3rd row or so similar to roof tiles? Can I just push it back up and try and get the lip of the tile over the lath? Thanks Tim.
