    came across this today after some thermal imaging surveys - its in a corner expansion joint between the front of my building and the main box. timber frame property. any ideas how this should be? seems weird to have a random block so close to a structural pillar and a large gap. no OSB board...

    under kitchen units - black membrane/gyproc unfinished?

    is this 'normal' for a new build property? I have no skirting under any of my units and something that looks like a black DPC/membrane sticking out? whats that for and where should it be?

    is this safe?

    This doesnt look safe to me, but looking for a second opinion. This is a gas pipe in a new build property that comes up from a big hole in the ground (service area); goes directly up the wall behind a cooker and (I presume) attached/into the hob somehow. doesnt seem to have any retaining clips...
