    Stop clinking off these pipes?

Hi Found a leak here in one of these pipes. When the heating comes on (or is cooling down) the pipes are noisy. They look pretty close to me? Is there anything you could recommend to do to stop the creaking/ clinking? The plumber is coming Monday to fix leak, any ideas? Thanks

Hardwood or softwood for Edwardian porch

Trying to reinstate the original Edwardian porch for our house, quite similar to this photo. I’ve got a quote for the posts in hardwood which is expensive. I’ve been advised that the wood will be most at risk from water splashing up from the base of the porch onto the bottom of the posts where...

    Wet wall

Hi below these rear windows I have noticed the wall/plinth getting wet during any heavy rain. I’ve noticed the drips on these windows are not very deep. The render had something out in it to keep water out (?) but should I be concerned about water getting through in the near future?

Recommended locks for a door between garage and main house

Hi Can anyone recommend what locks I should have on a door going from my utility room to garage on side of our newly renovated semi detached house. I know the idea is that if someone was to get in , this would just slow them down if they were really determined to get inside. We would also...
