Fitting laminate in kitchen / plinth issue

Looking to fit laminate flooring once the kitchen goes in but I want to leave enough gap for the plinth to sit on top of the laminate and dont really fancy cutting it lengthways afterwards. How long before painting on new plaster?

Hi folks, had kitchen plastered and it was finished on two weeks ago this Friday. Most of it has turned pinkish and there's a few brown patches left. Have used heating to speed up the process as well as ventilate the room but it feels like it's taking ages. Need to paint then fit kitchen...

    How to reshape copper pipe

Hi all bit of a dilemma. Cut a pipe with a multi tool as there was no room for a pipe slice or a hack saw. The pipe has gone oval shape for one reason or another. It's in a tight location (so can't use adjustable spanner to reshape) and access to the rest of the pipe is hidden in and would be...

    Safety goggles for glasses wearers

Has anyone found a decent set of safety goggles / glasses / face shield for those that also wear prescription glasses? Screwfix sell some OTG Goggles but they're useless and there's still a gap for dust / dirt to get in or they squash the glasses. Face shields have the same issue. I had a...

Bathroom mirror - flex or solid cable?

Hi guys, tried looking for the answer but can't seem to find it. Would it better to use 1/1.5 flex cable rather than the solid cable from the lighting circuit into the mirror? Mirrors tend to come with a manufacturers cable enclosure and the solid cable would struggle to go in there...
