Hi, My old man and me are converting the asbestos corrugated pitched roof to a tiled one, Using Marley Major's. Everything is simple enough apart from the boiler flu coming through the roof! Tiling around it isn't really a prob but how do we go about flashing around it??? Cheers

Hi, When decking a flat roof or overboarding ready for a new membrane do people tape the joints?? If so what tape is used? The membrane that was going to be used it EPDM?, I'm just a bit worried that where the boards meet and there is a joint then the EPDM may come unstuck.

Hi, Just a quick question for the roofers out the who use the red propane bottles. Is it ok to transport a propane bottle in the boot of a car lying down?? It'll have to be lying down because the bottle is too big to be stud up. It'll only be lying down for an hour or so. Cheers

As the subject really, When using insulation on top of joists, Can you use the insulation WITHOUT the 6mm ply and instead put your own 12mm ply on top? Reason being the 6mm ply is very flimsy so would look rubbish if using EPDM. Thanks.
