Thanks alexnic... Unfortunatley the fuse board is in an old grey metal box and the carriers are the old porcaline brownie-beige type :cry: I believe it's going to be a case of a new CU but if I can get Plug-In MCBs - I'd rather go with that option...

I am interested in the idea of changing the old fuse wire type carriers in my fuse board for the Plug-In MCBs. The fuse board is a bit old though, and the fuse carriers have four pins. I think the fuse board and carriers are made by MEM... Can you get Plug-In MCBs to fit old MEM fuse...

Thanks Breezer... I suppose I should have said that it was an electric oven :oops: As is it just an oven - the hob is gas - and the oven is just over 2Kw, can it be pluged into the 13Amp Ring Main?? Sorry to go on - but I need to make sure I get this right. :?
