Any advice please on safe removal of asbestos based artex. My walls are coated with artex which is crumbling and leaving a blue powdery residue on the floor. Thanks.

My living room walls are coated with artex. Some patches have fallen out and rthere is a blue powdery residue left on the wall which is also dropping onto the floor. Any ideas what this is ?

I live abroad where white wall coverings are prevelant. Mine living room was done with white Artex before we bought the house. Whats the easiest method for removing it and what preparations are needed before repainting. With thanks, Flamingo Thrasher.
