could someone explain to me why these alarms are positioned at 1.5 metres ? will it not kill kids / animals before the alarm goes off thanks

could someone tell me why it should be 1.5 metres high that you position the alarm ? surely it should be just above the skirting board ? will it not kill kids / animals

GREAT BOILER never let me down I have a discharge right at top of boiler where the inlet / exhaust intake is ( do I sound like a farmer ? ) its like limescale is the best I can describe it !! And is inside the cover and drips down onto the floor, thats how I noticed it. Difficult to see...
