I have laid laminate boards on top of the original carpet which is on top of floorboards. The issue I have is that part of the floor is bouncing and squeaking. The question is, can I correct the problem by putting thin plywood under the affected area ?.

My Glow-worm (Hideaway) boiler approx 8 years old vibrates when it comes on in the morning. When I switch the timer to off and then back on, the noise stops straightaway. Any ideas on how I can fix it ?[/b]
