    Found the answer elsewhere on this site......and it WORKS!!!! Someone has accidentally pressed some buttons and locked you into test mode. To get out of it you need to press start, the display should go daft. Press start again and the display should settle down. Now press the on/off button...

    Hotpoint WF640 - Displays "test" in the LCD

    Hotpoint WF640 displays "test" in the LCD. It runs through some sort of test cycle and then stops. Each time I try to select a program as soon as it starts it goes to the test cycle. Any ideas??
