Hi, I'm just fitting a doubled up 2" joist into a 100mm hanger. There is about a 10mm gap between side of joist and side edge of hanger, is it OK to just pack this out with a 10mm bit of wood?

Cheers

fix screws either side of the hanger into the pre-drilled holes, it won't go anywhere. decent screws may even pull the sides in a bit.

rubbish screws will shear off.
