Anyone off the top off their head know what sort of loading a 16mm cable will carry? The one I'm talking about it the red and black running from the meter to the CU.
so in effect I can draw upto 20kw of power across that cable, question is what happens if I take a shower, cooking my dinner in the electric oven and on the hob, with dishwasher, washing machine, and tumbledryer all on. That is in excess of 20kw, I know about diversity, but in our household 20kw seems a little worrying.
You wind up stumbling around the house, wet and sans clothes, (with a cold dinner to look forward to, not that you would have any clean plates to put it on, and without any clean clothes to wear), looking for the phonebook, and phone in the dark, in order to call out the REC to replace a blown service fuse
