this is not picking a fight, it is interesting.
I am always open to changing my point of view if I hear a differing one that makes me see that I have been narrow minded or not had all facts available to me.
I am interested because with smoking... I have to admit, I cant see how the attitude of smokers chilling out.... at the expense of those who dont wish to kill themselves earlier than needs be...can ever be okay.
Could I make you drink your relaxing pint on the hard shoulder of the motorway.... with the knowledge that you might or might not get a tired HGV driver wipe you out......
you know... similar odds to whether you will or wont get cancer from smoking.
but you... force your addiction on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if you are allowed to kill me.... you know...

Toffee, I'm not trying to pick a fight either. I gave up the dreaded fags a few years ago but I'm a believer in freedom of choice. If people want to smoke themselves to death, they can go for it, and with the new laws I don't have to worry about people choking me (not that I go out that much) Knife throwing is a bad comparison. I do use '........' a lot and my knowledge of grammar and punctutation is not great nor do I pretend it is.
I do not rant on whilst drunk and id hoped my points, if not agreed with, are at least in a tangible form.
I separate my sentences to prove points.. Im sorry if this aggrevates people.

I was a little miffed at your comments about my posts.
I accept that I have to listen to people who read what I write.
I guess that I I write what I think and that includes the pauses.
oldies on here will remember that I used to do drama with young offfenders and I guess the poignant pauses.. sometimes extra delayed to prove the point have rubbed off.
